Ah, ah... [The shopkeeper doesn't look as happy as he normally does.] It would seem that Yoruichi-san has returned home again.

[Ukitake sees that unhappiness. And even if he weren't so obviously upset, Ukitake knows what it's like to lose a best friend here. No one should be alone when they do.

So he makes his slow way to the Wastes and follows Urahara's reiatsu. When he finds the other man, he stays close, but gives him some space.]

<sub>[It's not hard to sense Ukitake drawing closer, but Urahara doesn't move away from where he is and instead focuses on finishing off the rest of the sandworms that are surrounding him with precise flicks of Benihime.

When he's done, he flicks the blood off his sword and turns toward Ukitake with a slight tilt of the head.]</sub>

[He returns the nod and slips his hands inside his haori sleeves. Again, he won't press, but he won't leave, either.]

_{[There's nothing for Urahara to say, but he sheathes his sword and slowly strides to Ukitake's side without a word. Once there, he just stands there, not quite meeting Ukitake's gaze, but not avoiding it either.]}

I seem to have too much milk again.

[Once it's apparent Urahara won't move any closer, Ukitake closes the gap and pulls the younger man to him, enveloping him in a tight hug.]

It will right itself.

_{[Slowly, Urahara wraps an arm around the other man and holds on to him for a few seconds before chuckling quietly.]}

I'll simply have to ask if anyone in Adstringendum would like some.

[He rubs Urahara's back, trying to offer comfort in any way he can.]

If no one does, I can take some for you.

_{[He pulls back from the hug with a small smile.]}

I know.

_{[He indicated the bags at the foot of a nearby tree. Someone was going to go collecting.]}

_{[There's a quiet hum before Urahara leans up and dusts a light kiss across Ukitake's lips, a silent acknowledgement and thanks for the other man's presence. He's grateful for it, it's just that this is Yoruichi.]}

[And he understands that, which is why he doesn't press, doesn't force himself into Urahara's life at that moment. He's a comforting presence, nothing more. And Ukitake is okay with that.]

[Silence from Ciel. He feels obligated, somehow, to help in some way- after all, Urahara never leaves him alone when he loses someone.

Of course, Ciel's company probably wouldn't have quite the same effect for Urahara. Rather useless, really. Like his reply.]
